I tried my very hardest. I did until 4:00 pm, but I couldn't do it anymore. I got through school, but I think this was harder then fasting for 30 hours. I applaud all of you who stuck it out all day, maybe next year.

Well Silent day is when you decide to stay silent for a whole day in honor of the babies aborted every day. Some wear red duct tape on their mouths while others wear a red armband. You can check it out at silentday.org. Smile

Yeah, and it's so cool how Silent Day sets aside one day for teens everywhere to do this. I did this last year with my friend and handed out flyers and poems and stuff [without talking!] to people around the skating rink and mall. It was a really neat experience, but really hard!

Ohhh man...I don't think I could do that. Especially considering I work, and uhm, other than that I just talk all the time. I could maybe do it at home and stuff. But I would have to not be going anywhere that day which would be stupid because no one would see that I was not talking for a purpose and yea......It'd be pointless for me.

But it wouldn't be pointless because God would see you were doing it and would bless you for it! Legally, you have the right to participate in Silent Day no matter where you go, due to the Equal Access Act of 1994, I think lol. I participated, and I even got my DAD to participate, and he went to work (we own our own business) with it over his mouth! It was sooooo cool! lol

Oh wow, yeah, I hadn't heard of that. I think it'd be cool if they did it more often. Like, once a month or something! 'cuz now I have to wait 'til next year. Sad

Oh yeah that would be cool, Karah. But if it was once a month, I don't think as many people would appreciate it or do it. I think it's neat how it's only once a year because then there's that one day of the year set aside for prayer and silence to stand up for pro-life and those who have been murdered because of abortion.

Yeah, I guess so. I'm just sad I missed it, 'cuz I didn't know anything about it. I'd totally do it though! :/

Aw, yeah I probably should have posted something about it on here so that you guys could have participated! I didn't do it this year, but it is a really cool thing. Maybe next year.
And you could always take a day out and do it yourself... how much of a difference do you think that would make? That would be really cool! Set aside a day for prayer and silence or fasting [from talking, the internet, food, whatever is hard for you to give up] and just spend the day with God. That would definitely bring God glory. Smile

Oh, don't worry! Its okay! :] I was actually just thinking about that...I was like, "Oh, I could just do it all by myself!" haha. Very Happy Not talking would be so hard but I think I could do it.
