PostSubject: My Dad   Thu Dec 18, 2008 4:05 pm

About three weeks ago, my dad's doctor called him at about 6:00 on a Saturday night and told him that if he didn't change his eating habits immediately, he had about 2 months to live. It's not really his fault, he's just had a combination of complicated health problems that make what he eats extremely important. Since then, he has been on this extremely harsh diet that makes him eat all the things that he doesn't like, and deprives him of all the things that he loves. He doesn't like to show that this is affecting him the way it is, but I can tell this is really hard for him.

Please, My dad needs strength to get through this, especially now during the holidays, when everybody's eating all the foods he can't have.

Pray for him, please.

Well, thank you all. And he's been doing really well. He's a strong guy.

Since I posted this topic, he's not only lost over 30 pounds, but even the doctor was surprised at how well he was doing. His diet has become more leniant, and it's certainly been nice to see him at least somewhat pleased with what he's been able to eat.

Here's a link to more details, it is not a site of God, but there is nothing there that would dishonor Him in any way. And yes, I am the guy who posted the topic.

wow thats great! I have had some similar dietary issues, not allowed to have wheat, oats, apples, other stuff.... for 6 weeks at all now I'm on week 7 without my favorite foods, it's hard but its'worth it cuz my skin is clearing up and feeling better so yeah giving up favorite foods isn't as bad as I thought it would be!
