| Yes, I have. I like setting goals for myself rather then a set "resolution". For example, last year was my year of no fear. So, I did some pretty scary things for me, but with god's help i overcame a lot of challenges and I have sort of taken it on as a lifestyle. This year is my year of embracing. I want to 1)embrace my faith and dive into every opportunity He gives me, completely trusting Him and 2) embracing myself and the very way God gave me with all of my imperfections and all of my unique traits. (That one is going to be my obstacle I think) But I know with God I can make these a reality. So, molly what about you? | |

| Mine is to actually think about what I'm going to say before I say it. I know I'm not in the habit of saying things that are enormously idiotic on here, but you might be surprised if you were ever to meet me in person. | |

| My goal for this year is a year without regrets. Last year i had a lot of experiences that I wish I wouldn't have had. But if I didn't I wouldn't learn from them. So this year I just want to live for God and not have any regrets about my choices. And I guess you could put thinking before speaking in with that because I have a tendency to do that a lot. | |

| Those are all some really great goals! My goal this year is to do hard things for Christ. I want to stand up for Him in bigger ways than I ever have before and follow His lead wherever He leads me... possibly farther out of my comfort zone than ever before. It is also my goal to be simple - simple in my faith and simple in my life. I want to have what God's Word talks about - a childlike faith. And I want to follow Jesus' example and live a more simple, God-honoring life. I've learned in great ways this past year that it is so easy to get so deep in your faith that it becomes more about you than God. I found that I was beginning to defend myself more than God and I am just thankful that He has pointed that out to me now. And now I desire to have a more without-a-doubt, childlike faith. So yep, "do hard things" and "keep it simple" are basically my goals for the year. | |

| So as I read my post, I realized that what I said could have been taken in the wrong way. So I just want to reiterate what I said and make myself more clear. I do not want to become more simple in my faith in the sense that I am not digging deep into God's Word or going deep with Him. That's just the thing... I do want to grow deeper with Christ than I ever have been. I want to go deeper with Him. But I don't want it at all to be about me like I think it has been sometimes. I want to follow Jesus' example and live a simple, consistant, unwavering, purposeful, passionate, intentional life - all for God, my Father. So hopefully that made more sense now. I didn't want any of you to think that I want to become more simple in the sense that I am not going deep with God - or even thinking deep. I just want my life and all of my thoughts to revolve around Christ and never myself... and to have a childlike faith like His Word talks about. Sure, they may be high goals, but nothing will change in me unless I take the initiative to change it! | |

| Thanks for the clarification. I was pretty sure that's not what you meant. | |

| Yeah, but even so, I wanted to clarify myself just in case. I'm glad it makes more sense now. | |
