| Wow. Emily's last two devotions really hit me on the head and stepped on my toes! And I didn't like it!  It made me realize how self-centered and selfish I am... how everyday God does amazing things in my life. Simple things like the beautiful sunrise and sunset and just His awesome Creation that He chose to share with us. And just little things throughout the day that I overlook. I just send up a quick "thank you" and go on with my day, expecting God to do more good things for me. And then when I think that something goes "wrong", I get a "poor me" attitude. I am such a selfish, foolish person sometimes! And yet God still chooses to give me a sunrise every morning and a sunset every evening. Every breath is a God thing. I take Him and everything He does for me so much for granted. | |
