I got this article from Revive Our Hearts, which is Nancy Leigh DeMoss' ministry. It lists 40 evidences of walking away from our first love, Jesus Christ. As I was reading through the list, I really had to stop and think about a lot of them because almost all of them describe myself. That doesn't mean that I've lost my Salvation, that I'm not a Christian anymore, or that I don't have a relationship with God anymore. But it does mean that I have a lot of room to grow in my relationship with Christ. It was a real eye-opener for me, so I thought I'd share it with you.

"You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first."
-Revelation 2:3-5a

Woah....wow. I was just skimming over it before bed, the first few really apply, and this one also really caught my attention:
"You prefer the company of people who don’t love Christ, to the company and fellowship of those who do."
Goodness, how true that is for me. It seems I'm only "accepted" by the unbelievers, sometimes, to the point where I feel so much more comfortable around them then I do around believers....Which is pretty sad, really. But true.

I'll read more of them tomorrow night, when I'm not so tired.

I got that too. I didn't read through the whole thing but it seemed that it'd be very good in convicting me in areas I may fail.

Thanks for sharing Molly!!
